The Honour Is Yours - Rest In Peace!
Written by ED on April 15, 2007 – 9:11 am - Posted in Uncategorized |Just when some IDIOTS up there are talking about how MUCH they have done, who are the true men who doesn’t talk much but put their lifes on the line, while the majority of Singaporeans are safely snoozing in bed??? For those who still thinks that the police is an easy job, you have YET! to see what goes on in actual police work!
This loss, is not merely the loss of two friends to me. Call it sheer coincidence, all the more it tells us who are the ones who are really dedicating their life to safeguard the sovernity of Singapore and fight crime til their last breath. It’s not all about the money, it’s all about the job responsibilities and integrity within our Creed. If you think army is tough, having to deal with real bullets, life and death is probably 10 times worse than your bunk inspections and mannings.
SSI Khalid - having served more than 20 years and expecting his third daughter.
SSGT Heah - having served for 6 years and father to a 9 month old infant.
This post, I pay tribute to both courageous and dedicated men whom have stood by their jobs despite the obvious dangers of having to face Pulau Tekong’s armed robbers, and many more incidents in the night. (Special Task Squadron’s members work permanent night shifts, away from their family.)
The Honour Is Yours For Eternity
Complaints about civil servants we may, but when they lose their life at work to safeguard the borders of Singapore, does anybody care? Nobody does!

Totally with you on this, those who are truelly are the ones behind the scenes which we rarely hear about.

That’s true. There’s always the good and evil, be it in private or civil sector. It’s pretty sad how people generalize everything and everyone.
