Support Yellow Ribbon Project

Written by ED on September 3, 2007 – 10:06 pm - Posted in Singapore, Society |

Following Sicarii’s suggestion, I made a few buttons in support of the Yellow Ribbon Project.

I think it’s a really cool idea, since donations can be quite a stigma in our society. Following NKF’s big saga, it’s really not easy to convince Singaporeans to part with their money.

Secondly, most Singaporeans have access to internet nowadays. If one doesn’t wish to support in monetary donations, they can still do good by spreading the word through their blogs, websites, social forums etc. Creating awareness can be done 365 days a year… why not?

These designs are very simple, and it’s nothing to compete with those graphics guru. For the cause… it’s worth my two hours this evening.

SMALL BUTTONS (75 x 37)
Created with several coloured backgrounds to suit different blog themes.

CONCEPT BUTTONS (100 x 132)
I refer the pebbles as the treacherous path an ex-offender has to walk upon his release. It’s unstable, it’s tricky to navigate. He could fall and stand up again, but sometimes one fall can be his last fall and cause him his life.

This is another one that I like. The life of an ex-offender is like a piece of cracked glass. Remember the saying… “picking up the pieces”? This comes with coloured backgrounds too.

To use these buttons in your blog/website, just right click and save the picture to your own resources. Remember to link it to Yellow Ribbon Project website at http://www.yellowribbon.org.sg/index.htm

Help spread the word… and start unlocking these psychological prisons.

HighwayBlogger: Oops… I see that you are using Wordpress and honestly I am not too sure how the panel works for the free blogs. I’m not sure if I can assume they work the same… and if they do, you might want to check under Presentation >> Widgets >> then you should see Available Widgets.

All the Text Box should be able to be drag into your sidebar and just input the codes [a href=etc etc] into the Text Box, it will appear as buttons. I hope I have gotten it right.
