That Light
Written by ED on February 2, 2008 – 1:46 pm - Posted in Trivial & Whining |THAT LIGHT
I seek that light
unsure if I was right
But as each teeth bite
what went wrong with life?
He came with His light
even though it was night
Sorrowful tears He wiped
for my release, He died.
Searching again for that light
consuming it in my stride
Reaching with all my might
the numbing pain ignite
And I saw that light
beckoning to me, bright
To be in that light
is it worth the fight?
Slowly…
I drift into that light.

An effective poem. I like this part most of all
“He came with His light
even though it was night
Sorrowful tears He wiped
for my release, He died.”
To be near some light, does not require one to fight physically. Just stay firm to what matters most? And soon you find yourself drifting into it. *winks*
