VIDEO: Tired of Man Utd winning?

What a cheek and audacious little catch in MSN Video!? But I like it! Reflecting back on Man Utd’s 3-0 pounding of Liverpool and its 4-0 win over Aston Villa over the weekend, the force of the Red Devils can never be denied.

Man Utd just have this knack for being at the right place at the right time, isn’t it? They have tripped and fell in the most recent 6 to 7 years, compared to the great 1990s. Watching them bounced back strong amid Ferguson’s talks of retirement (I called him little Red [Devil] Nose Reindeer), is such a sweet delicacy. Instead, it were the likes of Thierry Henry, Arsene Wenger (he’s known as ARSEne WANKer among my folks) and many more whom left their clubs they pledged allegiance to and contributed much to their successes in their own small ways.

Putting the focus back on the demolition of Aston Villa, I was extremely pleased. Man Utd’s ardent rival fans often claimed luck was behind most of Man Utd’s goals, even though I wonder if luck last more than 2 decades for a football club? Thank God, I haven’t heard any accusations of Ferguson using black magic on rival clubs as yet, but who knows one day we just might.

To concede 4 goals in an English Premier League match is a big defeat, but to concede 4 sexy and clever goals is the clear distinction between class and grass. I can’t remember much players who are capable of such cheeky & classic goals (like a heel flip? LOL!) except from players like Thierry Henry, the early days of Micheal Owen, Robbie Keane… Of course, the 4 classic goals also highlighted 4 classic mistakes committed against Man Utd when it is at its deadliest time. The tight marking wasn’t there and look at the last 3 goals? “Superb” mistakes for leaving some of Man Utd’s sharpest players out in the open with little defenders marking them. I thought most clubs would have learnt a painful lesson, but this match tells me this mistake is here to stay.

But the biggest giant is not infallible. I am sure the most ardent fan of Man Utd cannot deny the fact that once Man Utd start making mistakes, they seemed completely lost out at space. As much as they are impressive, there are days of being caught at the wrong place at the wrong time and the giant’s ego take a beating in the most unexpected ways. The current run is fantastic, and I hope the winning streak continues until the last match.

For now, I leave you with the video recap of Man Utd’s 4-0 demolition of Aston Villa. I love the last 3 goals, because Ronaldo’s is just being cheeky (maybe imaginative) in my opinion. Still a goal to behold.
