Endoh’s Dungeon

I am not sure how much you guys buy into this horoscope thing, but I found another “diagnosis” of my personality somewhere else. I wrote about it more than a year ago. Sometimes, Scorpio are so intriguing until I am curious about myself. There are times I read and laugh. There are times I read and sink into deep thoughts, am I really like that?

This is another version which I found, and it wasn’t generated from a search or anything. It was human-typed, and is pretty similar in context to the one I have written about. Am I deeply affected? Both yes and no. It’s always fun to know more about myself. But knowing myself so deeply sends shivers down my spine. Of course, take it with a pinch of salt.

I swear!!! Even if it’s not mine…

Now that I have finally discussed the problems this blog is facing with friends, both offline and online, 6 out of 7 agreed that it’s time for me to set some ground rules for my blog. I have always tried to stir off any official rules for readers in my blog, because rules are usually boring. They had the opportunities to read through some of the comments left in my blog (in recent times) for themselves, and they felt I don’t really have much a choice other than to put my foot firm down.

I have been considering my options too, otherwise I wouldn’t ask for opinions from trusted friends. Although rude comments are not an everyday thing, it looked like it is rising slightly. This is a long post, so if you don’t read it and put up something against “my rules”, too bad for you.

Until today, the Singapore Refinery Company fire on Pulau Merlimau in 1988 is Singapore’s longest fire ever documented. It lasted for a whopping 4 days and chilled many spines of Singaporeans. It seemed weird to be talking about this fire, I know. It was the fire that destroyed a Woodlands factory a few days ago which aroused memories of Pulau Merlimau fire.

Pulau Merlimau is now a part of Jurong Islands. For those in the later generations, some probably didn’t even know Singapore had such a big fire to battle. I am sure however, the older generations will remember the incident pretty clearly, especially after the collapse of Hotel New World in 1986.
