Why should Chelsea’s Avram Grant leave?
Written by ED on May 13, 2008 – 9:00 am -Lose a championship and lose your job! That’s what some football fans were screaming when Chelsea lost the English Premier League Championship. Although I am very much a Red Devils fan, I see no reason why Avram Grant shouldn’t stay on. Moreover, he just barely took over Chelsea management since September 2007 when Jose Mourinho.
The EPL is a “blood-thirsty” game, that I know. For the entire time Alex Ferguson called the shots at The Theatre of Dreams, we have seen countless managers and top players switching sides. Honestly, I lost count. Especially so for teams that were relegated, a change of manager is not uncommon. For the top teams, the changes come if they failed to win any silverware. But in tribute to Avram, Chelsea has been fantastic.

The reason why Chelsea lost the EPL title…
Written by ED on May 12, 2008 – 7:35 am -Sometimes, the reason isn’t really too complicated. It’s always us - the football fans - who complicated ourselves. I thought Man Utd’s Christiano was bad enough with his prostitutes, but Chelsea’s Shevchenko…?

Muslim group urges Malaysians to boycott Chelsea football tour
Written by ED on April 28, 2008 – 8:24 am -The headline was rolled out yesterday as Chelsea defeated Man Utd in the EPL, and apparently Chelsea’s problem isn’t only about ground staffs vs Man Utd players. Even though Chelsea is not my cup of tea, I don’t see how a football match should be linked politically.
I thought football is a game that establish friendship even though the rivalry on the pitch can be fiery. I thought football is the game to share love even though it’s an international game. I even thought football is the game to bring joy and hope to needy countries. But apparently some people in our neighbouring country feels otherwise.

Ex-coach of 6 year old runner “fired” twice.
Written by ED on April 14, 2008 – 1:25 pm -
Remember that 6 year old boy in India, who was trained to do marathons at such a young age? His ex-coach was first fired from his job following accusations of torture. He had been fired again - but this time, with a gun. Two bullets were pumped into his body, and he died before he could even be sent to the hospital.
I was quite shocked when it was reported that there was “no possible motive” for the attack. I’m not quite sure what to think of it, but the possibilities are endless. It could be personal, or it could simply be someone who hates the coach so much for putting a 6-year-old boy through such grueling trainings.
Ironic… fired twice. I bet he didn’t see the second firing coming.

From the uneducated… to the uneducated.
Written by ED on April 7, 2008 – 1:07 am -Just when I finished writing about how smoking may not be the root factor for cancer development based on 3 independent studies (even with a totally anticipated denial), yet another “healthy tip” was busted last Friday. This time, it’s the ever-popular recommendation of drinking 8 glasses of water a day being found to be anything… but close to the truth.
We heard it all, from our days as a toddler to our days as a student. Even as we grow, we actually hear these advices from professional health “specialists”. What or who does it take to debunk a professional myth? Well, as the saying goes, “it takes one to know another”. Hence, it takes another professional to bust a professional myth since uneducated advices seemed more real than anything else. The next time anyone goes screaming at their loved ones or children to down 8 glasses of water a day for health sake, you could be the one to contribute to their bad health afterall.

VIDEO: Tired of Man Utd winning?
Written by ED on April 1, 2008 – 4:17 am -What a cheek and audacious little catch in MSN Video!? But I like it! Reflecting back on Man Utd’s 3-0 pounding of Liverpool and its 4-0 win over Aston Villa over the weekend, the force of the Red Devils can never be denied.
