My 2nd Secret
Written by ED on May 22, 2008 – 9:21 pm -Last year, I revealed my first secret. This year, I thought of revealing my second which not even my closest friend knew. I developed a liking to writing screenplays, and did so for four short films. I never really understood how it turned me on to be writing screenplays but for two short years I was doing that. Thinking back on those two years, I’m pretty spurred on that only two scripts required further editing by the senior writers. The remaining two, were used just the way I wrote them.
It all started when I was pursuing Mass Communications more than 10 years ago, where I had to work on a short film as a final project for TV & Radio Production module. I was encouraged greatly when my screenplay scored the second highest in the class. Funnily, my script never got back to me because my lecturer kept it. To get that kind of ego-boost, how can I not try my luck with writing more screenplays?

[VIDEO] Battle at Kruger National Park
Written by ED on May 21, 2008 – 5:20 am -Can you visualize a young calf, escaping not only from hungry lions but also the jaws of crocodiles all at the same time? Thanks to my dear friend, Crystal, who forwarded me the link, we can now throw away our imagination and watch the episode unfold live before our eyes.
I figured bumping into a group of lions is bad enough. I definitely cannot imagine how long I can last with lions sinking their teeth into my torso and crocodiles jamming their jaws into my rear end. Make a bet how many minutes I can last? This is precisely the kind of survival spirit I love to watch. The way the army of adult buffaloes came charging in looked like the movie “300“. Slow… but steady.

[VIDEO] The Secret - The Law of Attraction
Written by ED on May 13, 2008 – 4:21 pm -I think the truth in LOA has been slightly overshadowed by the dramatization. No doubt there’s a lot of truth being spoken, I felt we could do with a little lesser aesthetics. How do we package such works without presenting it as exaggerating? Still, I will share this footage with you. Very interesting and thought provoking.

Backstabbing & Stabbing Back
Written by ED on May 9, 2008 – 6:19 pm -One of the very unique behaviours I had discovered as a child is, many people enjoy the act of backstabbing others. That’s during my good old days of Alamak Chat, I think the older generation would definitely laugh over all the silly quibbles. Before I even wrote my first MySpace blog post in 2005, there’s already an article floating somewhere calling it “The Art of Backstabbing”.
How have this art found a second home in our blogosphere too? Singapore’s economy has risen progressively and technologies have improved by a mile since the 1980s, this expression of hatred has endured the test of time and had become a trademark of some individuals. Just like Tupperware was the hot topic among housewives in my childhood, backstabbing has survived to plant its roots in our newer generations and beyond. Do not be confused between gossiping and backstabbing though, it’s really two different things.

TRUST - Delivery by…?
Written by ED on April 1, 2008 – 5:57 am -How many times have you been frowned at or criticized for not trusting your friends or your partner? How many times have nasty situations been placed upon your shoulders that it was YOU and YOUR DISTRUST that led to the falling out? Or worse, have you experienced the difficulties in having to trust a person by giving the benefit of doubt?

Life’s Roller Coaster
Written by ED on February 25, 2008 – 10:24 pm -I know I have not been blogging for a really long time, but well, I feel that no apologies is needed for that. But to all my friends, thank you for showering me with your care and concerns. Maybe this post will give you a birdeye’s view of what’s going on during my disappearance.
Work haven’t been exactly the way I hope for in the past 2 months. Due to some reasons, I lost 3 projects in a space of 2 months, beginning from my reservist in January. I’m not exactly struggling now, but I think there are certain issues that I need to explore and rectify. I guess that’s a very usual process most of us go through in work… assess, re-assess… and re-re-assess.
