Xizor was asking me this morning, do I delete phone numbers from my mobile phone? My answer was yes! I do not only do that in my phone but it’s also a practice in my MSN Messenger as well, perhaps two to three times a year.

Forgive me for my short term memory, I remembered I talked about this issue once but I just can’t remember where. Many “friends” have either enquired or (angrily) charged that I had deleted them from my MSN list. To some, it is an evidence of how much values and importance I had placed in these “friendships”. Frequently, these confrontations occured when someone messages me with an identification email that, either I couldn’t remember or recognize.

It’s a pity, of how a “friendship” can become a burden or liability.

Fellow bloggers like Rinaz or Cool Insider have casually chatted with me recently, either asking how do I throw out posts like I have or how do I find time to write such long posts. After reading Ah Pek’s Blog Gigs with a generous sharing of blogging knowledge, I thought I might as well do up a post and shed some lights on the “secrets” behind my writings.

Before I go on, I must confess that I am no professional writer or editor. It is really not too difficult to spot errors in sentence structuring or grammatical errors in every post. I must tell you, there are heaps of mistakes here and there. Rest assure, you will still see some of the mistakes in this post as well.

My birthday is just round the corner in less than half a month, and I am deeply touched by friends who asked for what I would like to have as a present on my birthday. They included friends whom I have known for the longest time ever, to even friends I knew only for a month.

I have not received birthday gifts for more than 10 years, not because I wasn’t loved by people around me. There is this personal belief and principle that I uphold in my life, which developed in me as a teenager.

Today, we share the grief of Janice and her family in their loss of a wonderful and courageous man who fought cancer right til the end. Janice’s brother, Beng Hwee passed away last night due to cancer. This came after a long fight in hospital. His courage and willpower are beyond praises.

In this time of sorrow and mourning, let us honour Beng Hwee in all the goodness he has given to Janice’s family and others around him. Let’s also take this time, to support Janice and her family through this difficult period.

Janice, our hearts and condolences go out to you and your family.
