I have a serious problem!
Written by ED on April 29, 2008 – 7:41 pm - Posted in Blogosphere, Trivial & Whining |The addiction is getting serious, even though it was never meant to be like this in reality. The more restraint I placed on myself, the deeper end of the pits I found myself. If only self control is as easy as switching on the lamp, the problem would have been so much simpler. This open secret could have cost me half my life but thank God it hasn’t.
What are you thinking lah? I merely wanted to say my bad habit of long sentences have to be changed. You reckon I’m on drugs meh? Or addicted to prostitutes like Christiano Ronaldo si bo? You think… you thought… who confirmed?
Time to look into my sentence structures.

I suppose it comes with practice. Writing sentences with far too few words can also seem rather abrupt. It may then appear like a machine gun speaking in short terse sentences. Or worse, sound like a message generated by a Morse code machine (or a 3 year old).
Another thing which I learnt in the school of writing (aka the school of hard knocks at work!) was that one should keep to one key point per paragraph. Anything more than that will make it less focused and precise.

Walter, true! Maybe I should split up certain topics into 2 or 3 posts, beats squeezing everything into one I supposed.
